Why I am Here

I want you to reach your lifestyle change goals and enjoy permanent weight loss… Even if you struggle from emotional eating.

The ups and downs of losing weight can be frustrating.  The lows of stress and depression can bring on feelings of hopelessness. I know! It happened to me.  The good news is, that there is a way out of many situations that may seem like no way at the time.


My Healthy Lifestyle Change Journey

Many years ago I found myself in a life changing situation that I would have never dreamed possible. At age 35, newly divorced mother of five, not only did I find myself struggling to adjust - I was also depressed and overweight with no directions for the unplanned journey that was ahead of me... 

I used food to comfort emotional pain, only it never seemed to satisfy the cravings for long...  Physical activity consisted of curling up on the couch watching TV. or sleeping...

Thus, my clothing size doubled from size 9 to size 18. This I was not willing to accept. I wanted my ideal weight back. I wanted to feel good and be happy...

I knew that I had to make a change to protect my health so I could be there for my children.   They were the sparks that kept me going, so I managed to juggle job and kids fairly well...

Mindset The One Thing That changed it all…

Like most everyone else, I started out with the lose weight quick diet mindset.  And like many, I failed a few times.

Every thing I learned along the way has lasted over the years and helped shape me from inside out...

I found that there is no quick and easy for healthy permanent weight loss.   You have to make the mindset shift to healthy lifestyle change.

My biggest mistake was being stubborn and refusing help.   I felt stigmatized from the barrage of stress and depression.   I had the do it myself attitude... Right idea but so much easier with help.

It wasn't until finding peace of mind became most important of all.  I knew I had to change my mindset because nothing else seemed to work.  I was willing and ready for change...

My change came when I started a meditation practice and learned mindfulness...  

This is what helped my mind to return to a place of tranquil thought so that I could focus on things and actions that would benefit my body and mind.

A healthy lifestyle change approach starts with mindset  and covers mind body and spirit.  It's who you are.  It's your path to well-being...Only you can change your mind...  Every thing else follows...

My Passion

I created this website out of passion. My desire to be happy, lose weight and be healthy became somewhat of an obsession…
